Description
Built in 1903 and refurbished in 2005, the Caledonian Hilton Hotel was once known as the flagship hotel of the Caledonian Railway. Set in the centre of town on Princes Street overlooking Edinburgh Castle, this Victorian property features 251 guestrooms combining traditional style with contemporary furnishings. Decorated in neutral tones the rooms feature wool carpets, stylish sofas and tartan fabrics. In room amenities include cable TV with pay movies, Sony PlayStations, direct dial phones, minibars and ensuite bathrooms with bathrobes, complimentary toiletries and hair dryers. Some rooms have views of Edinburgh Castle while others overlook Princes Street Gardens. Guests can relax and unwind in the LivingWell Health Club where leisure facilities include a heated swimming pool with views over Edinburgh Castle, a spa tub, sauna and steam room. Those feeling energetic can try out the gym while further relaxation is offered at the Ocean Rooms Spa where a range of Thalgo marine beauty therapies and treatments are available including manicures, pedicures, tanning treatments, waxing, body wraps and massage. Guests can enjoy fine dining on Scottish and international cuisine in an intimate restaurant overlooking the castle and a more informal restaurant featuring the original architecture of the Caledonian railway station.
