Description
Location. Set on the cobbled Grassmarket, the Apex International is a contemporary hotel overlooking 14th century Edinburgh Castle, within 500 metres of The Royal Mile and Princes Street shops and gardens. Edinburgh Airport is 7.5 miles away about 25 minutes' drive. Hotel Features. Wireless Internet access (surcharge) is available throughout the Apex International Hotel, and the concierge can provide information on local tourist attractions. There is a DVD rental library (surcharge) at reception. Five conference rooms have capacity for up to 200 people, accommodating business meetings, wedding receptions, and banquets. Complimentary secure parking is provided on site for up to 60 cars. The top floor Heights restaurant serves a range of contemporary Scottish and international dishes and offers views of Edinburgh Castle, which is lit up at night; the chic Metro brasserie and bar on the lower ground floor is open daily for lunch and dinner. The Yu Spa houses a gym with treadmills, exercise bikes, weight machines and wall mounted TVs; complimentary bottled water and towels are provided. There is also a stainless steel pool with views out to the Grassmarket and castle, and a 'tropicarium' with sauna and solarium. Access to the spa is complimentary and is exclusive to Apex Hotel guests. There are over 20 golf courses in and around the city. Guestrooms. The 171 guestrooms are spread over five floors and feature contemporary decor with deep coloured fabrics, oversized headboards, suede upholstery, and limited edition photographic prints by Scottish artist Richard Demarco.
